Sixty-Six

For each February issue, the editors seek submissions of original sonnets and sonnets in English translation, articles on the history of the form and its contemporary use and variations, and explications of particular sonnets, sequences, or sonneteers.

The fall issue is devoted exclusively to the publication of new, original sonnets in English. This chapbook, available only to subscribers, is published in November.

Authors are encouraged to query before submitting essays, articles, or explications.

We welcome recommendations for the re-printing of older sonnets that have been overlooked by past criticism or which deserve a wider contemporary audience.

In addition, we seek submissions for a special supplement consisting entirely of original sonnets in English.

Be advised that our subscribers include general readers as well as literary scholars; close readings will typically be preferred to explications conducted under one or another theoretical rubrics.

Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Manuscripts and inquiries may be sent by email to sonnetjournal[at]gmail.com or by post to:

66: The Journal of Sonnet Studies
95 Melville Avenue
Boston, MA 02124

Contributors will receive two copies of the journal in which their work appears, as well as a single copy of the next issue.
