Joseph S. Salemi teaches
in the Department of Classical Languages at Hunter College in
New York City. His poems, translations, essays, and scholarly
articles have appeared in over one hundred journals worldwide.
He has published three books of poetry, the latest being Masquerade
(Pivot Press). He is a regular book reviewer and essayist for
The Pennsylvania Review, an on-line journal, and the editor of
the magazine Trinacria. "Our Policies" appears on this
